Lionel’s professional career began in his late teens when he decided to stop pursuing a career in professional football.
He first worked as an insurance telemarketer, then as a field sales representative in several industries and from his jobs, he discovered a passion for sales and marketing.
Before DBFM, Lionel founded several companies in several areas such as music, electrical and retail.
In January 2020, Lionel travelled to the Democratic Republic of Congo, where business opportunities were offered to him.

He acquired a football club in the 3rd tier of the Congolese national football leagues, which facilitates his pursuit to find the very best talent out of Kinshasa, develop them to the elite level and make them superstars.
