26 killed as tractor-trolley falls into pond in UP’s Kanpur

Kanpur, Oct 2 (IANS) At least 26 human beings had been killed at the same time as numerous injured after a tractor-trolley carrying devotees overturned and fell into a pond near a village in Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur district on Saturday evening.

The devotees, all citizens of Kortha village below Sadh police circle, had long gone to the Chandrika Devi temple in Fatehpur within the tractor-trolley. There have been about forty human beings inside the vehicle. While returning, the trolley overturned right into a roadside pond between Sadh and Gambhirpur village.
