CBI arrests FCI depot manager in Andhra for bribery

New Delhi, Sep 9 (IANS) The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday captured a Depot Manager of Food Corporation of India in Andhra Pradesh’s Bhimavaram for requesting and taking hush-money of Rs 15,000.

A body of evidence was enrolled against FCI official Peda Babu Rao for requesting a pay off of Rs 25,000 from 35 workers consistently for not marking unfriendly passages in regard of installment of wages.

The CBI laid a snare and found the blamed in the act while taking hush-money for Rs 15,000 from the complainant, as part installment.

“Look were led at the private and office premises of the blamed which prompted the recuperation for implicating archives,” an authority said.

Rao was delivered under the watchful eye of an extraordinary CBI court which sent him to legal guardianship till September 22.
