Drama as EFCC nab DJ for allegedly impersonating Portable

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arrested Famotemi Toluwani Timothy, a disc jockey, for allegedly impersonating debatable hip-hop singer Habeeb Okikiola, better known as Portable.

Timothy, a local of Igede-Ekiti in Ekiti State’s Ifelodun Local Government Area, allegedly opened an Instagram account below the name “Zazu Omolalomi Portable” and claimed to be the singer.

According to the EFCC’s Head of Media and Publicity, Wilson Uwajuaren, the suspect met his victim on social media, Adebayo Adedimeji Lukman, who runs a membership in Offa, Kwara State, and added himself as Portable. He agreed to perform at the membership for the sum of N1 million naira, with an 80% down fee.

According to reviews, the sufferer deposited a sum of N790,000 into a financial institution account range provided by using the suspect.

However, the self-styled Portable did not attend the sooner this 12 months event. He then disabled all conversation with the sufferer.
