Jenna Shrubbery Hager brought an excursion through a world of fond memories Friday night when she visited the White House for an Elton John concert — and thanks to a “gracious” second from President Joe Biden, she made a senseless new memory with her family in the process.
In a Monday night interview on The Tonight Show, Bramble Hager told have Jimmy Fallon about her experience visiting the home where she grew up, bringing daughters Mila Hager, 9, and Poppy Louise Hager, 7, along with husband Henry Chase Hager and mother Laura Shrubbery.
At the point when the family arrived, she said Biden met them at the front gate and invited them in.
As they made their way through the home toward the South Lawn, where the concert was to take place, they halted to admire a portion of the building’s history.
“There was a portrait of my mother hanging on the wall,” Bramble Hager, 40, recalled, “and he said, ‘Can I get an image?’ Which is the very best.”
“I’m almost certain what I said is, ‘President Biden, my husband can take an image,'” she said. “We didn’t really anticipate that the president should take it.
” Yet, obviously, they happily let Biden snap the shot of them posing in front of Laura’s official White House portrait.
The part Hedge Hager and Fallon found most interesting was the means by which the image ended up — it was about as great as one would anticipate from a 79-year-old holding an iPhone.
As Fallon showed the photograph to the audience with a laugh, he remarked not just on how everyone in the photograph is talking, yet the way that Biden battled with the framing of the shot.
“The portrait [is] way off the mark to being in the shot … Barely! That’s your mother’s arms.”
Despite the laughter the studio audience shared about Biden’s photograph taking abilities, the president gave them an unforgettable keepsake that Shrubbery Hager called “extremely gracious.”
“The president snapped this picture,” Fallon said. “You have to frame this.
