J&K: Terrorist killed in Shopian encounter identified


Srinagar, Sep 13 (IANS) A psychological militant killed in an experience with the security powers at Heff Shirmal region in South Kashmir’s Shopian locale has been distinguished, authorities said on Tuesday.

Police expressed following up on a particular data with respect to the presence of fear monger in town Heff Shirmal area of Shopian on Monday, a joint cordon and search activity was sent off by Police, Army and CRPF.


“During the inquiry activity, as the joint pursuit party moved toward the thought spot, the concealing psychological militant terminated unpredictably which was fought back actually prompting an experience. In the underlying trade of shoot, an Army Jawan got discharge wounds and was emptied to emergency clinic for treatment,” police said.

“In the following experience, one nearby psychological militant recognized as Aqib Ahmad Paul, child of Mohd Akram Paul occupant of Drawani Shopian, connected with prohibited fear outfit LeT was killed and his body was recovered from the site of experience.”

Police said according to its records, the killed fear based oppressor was a sorted psychological militant and engaged with dread wrongdoing cases, remembering assaults for Police and Security powers.

“Arms, ammo and other implicating materials of restricted dread outfit LeT were recuperated from the site of experience. Every one of the recuperated materials have been taken into case records for additional examination.
