Krishnam Raju to be cremated with state honours

Hyderabad, Sep 11 (IANS) Last ceremonies of veteran Tollywood entertainer and previous Union priest U.V. Krishnam Raju will be performed with state respects here on Monday.

Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao guided the authorities to make plans for Raju’s incineration with state praises.

The main priest asked Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar to make the vital plans.

Raju, well known as Rebel Star, died early Sunday at AIG Hospital here. He was 83.

The last ceremonies will be performed Monday evening at Maha Prasthanam in Jubilee Hills.

His body was moved to his home, where it will be kept till Monday evening to empower his fans to offer their final appreciation.

In the mean time, heads of different ideological groups and film characters made a direct path to Raju’s home to offer their final appreciation.

Association serve for culture G. Kishan Reddy, super star Chiranjeevi, veteran entertainers Murali Mohan, Mohan Babu, Mahesh Babu, chiefs Trivikram, Raghavendra Rao and others paid recognitions for Raju.


They supported Raju’s relatives including his nephew entertainer Prabhas.
