K’taka asks education dept to submit report on madrasas’ activities: Sources

Bengaluru, Sep 30 (IANS) The Karnataka government on Friday guided the schooling division to present a report on the exercises of madrasas in the state, mixing a contention.

The schooling division has taken up the activity in the midst of the requests to boycott madrasas in the state by Hindu associations, as per the sources.

It has been asserted that dubious exercises are happening in madrasas.

The public authority has requested that the division submit report around 960 madrasas in the state.

A panel has been framed under the initiative of the Chief of the schooling division, which will give extensive report on the exercises of the madrasas.

BJP insiders expressed that after the accommodation of the report, a choice would be made on whether the madrasas ought to be restricted or these ought to be brought under the ward of the instruction division.

The BJP insiders said that the decision BJP in Karnataka is pondering the activity on madrasas on the lines of the Uttar Pradesh government regarding madrasas.
