K’taka HC allows rape accused Lingayat seer to sign cheques

Bengaluru, Sep 30 (IANS) Karnataka High Court on Friday permitted the assault denounced Lingayat soothsayer Shivamurthy Murugha Sharanaru, at present under legal authority, to sign checks.

A seat headed by Equity Nagaprasanna passed the request as large number of mutt workers are confronting hardships in getting compensations since the charged diviner is captured.

It had before dismissed the solicitation to permit the blamed diviner to give his marks to checks. The appeal was recorded before the seat to argue authorization to sign checks.

The seat has permitted the blamed diviner to sign his minds October 3, 6 and 10. The person who takes marks should acquire authorization from the locale magistrate.

During the method involved with giving marks, the researching official and prison director should be available and present the copies of the checks to the examining court, it said.

Underlining that the court request is relevant just for October, the seat guided the direction to make plans for move of the legal authority of marking to someone else and present a request to the neighborhood court in such manner.

The court can consider the appeal and request according to the arrangements of regulation, the seat said.

According to the appeal, Sharanaru is the main legal administrator of the mutt. He needs to sign 200 checks to deliver the compensation of representatives.
