Sonia holds Himachal CEC amid Raj crisis


New Delhi, Sep 27 (IANS) In the midst of Rajasthan emergency, break Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Tuesday gathered Congress’ Focal Political race Board of trustees (CEC) meeting to conclude names of possibility for Himachal Pradesh Gathering surveys.

Among those present were Ambika Soni, Anand Sharma, Veerappa Moily and K.C Venugopal.

The Congress is in a group to track down an answer on two fronts – – to determine the issue of Rajasthan and waitlist the official contender for the party.

In the mean time, Congress sources said that Ashok Gehlot is being precluded from the party president’s post and Kumari Selja could be considered for it, while Rahul Gandhi’s decision is supposed to be Venugopal.

In any case, no official conclusion has been made at this point. Senior Congress pioneer Kamal Nath, who met Sonia Gandhi on Monday, communicated his lack of engagement in taking over as the party president and wished to keep working for the party in Madhya Pradesh.

“I need to stay in MP,” Kamal Nath, a previous Boss Clergyman of the state, told IANS.

The heightening show in Rajasthan has constrained the Congress authority to contemplate an arrangement B for the top party post, for which Boss Clergyman Ashok Gehlot was being viewed as a competitor.

With Kamal Nath precluding himself, the party has restricted choices with Mukul Wasnik and Mallikarjun Kharge, however there’s no time to spare as the political race process has begun and September 30 is the last day of designation.

The party was left embarrassed as the Congress Council Party meeting in Jaipur to conclude Gehlot’s replacement must be canceled on Sunday after his supporting MLAs came out emphatically against Sachin Pilot succeeding him.
