Stalemate ends as Punjab Governor calls Assembly session

Chandigarh, Sep 25 (IANS) The halt between the AAP government in Punjab and the Lead representative over gathering the Get together meeting finished on Sunday with the last option consenting to call the meeting on September 27.

A letter from Lead representative Banwarilal Purohit read that in exercise of abilities presented upon him by prudence of Proviso (1) of Article 174 of Constitution, he is bringing the meeting on September 27 at 11 am.

A day sooner, Money Priest Harpal Singh Cheema said it was condemnable that the Lead representative had looked for subtleties of regulative business for the proposed Get together meeting.

Cheema, who was the Head of Resistance in the past state government, had said the Lead representative’s office is continually meddling in crafted by Punjab and not permitting the chosen AAP government to unreservedly work.

“I need to request that the Lead representative check the record of his office and let individuals know the number of Lead representatives that have requested the decision government to give data about the motivation from gathering a get together meeting. Till today, no Lead representative got it done. Just he is doing as such, in light of the fact that he is working at the command of the BJP.”

Answering the implied “battle of words”, the Lead representative, in a letter to Boss Priest Bhagwant Mann on Saturday, said: “Subsequent to perusing your assertions in the present papers, it appears to me that maybe you are ‘a lot of’ irate with me. I think your legitimate counsels are not preparation you satisfactorily.

“Maybe your perspective about me will change in the wake of perusing the arrangements of Article 167 and 168 of the Constitution, which I’m citing for your prepared reference.”

While Article 167 connects with “Obligations of Boss Priest as regards the outfitting of data to Lead representative”, 168 is on “Constitution of Lawmaking bodies in States”
