Three PFI members arrested in Assam


Guwahati, Oct 21 (IANS) Something like three individuals from the restricted association Famous Front of India (PFI) alongside a linkman were captured in Assam’s Kamrup region on Friday, authorities said.

A cop said that in view of a particular information, the police had sent off a hunt activity at a few spots in the Nagarbera region of the locale.

Following the activity, the police group captured four individuals.

The captured people have been recognized as Nazrul Islam, Hafizur Rahman, Rafiqul Islam, and Mominur Islam.

Mominur Islam is supposedly a linkman of the PFI. He hails from the Chaygaon region of the locale while the rest are inhabitants of the Nagarbera district.

Kamrup Director of Police, Hitesh Ch. Beam said that the captured people have been addressed by the police.

Last month, Assam Police captured 25 Well known Front of India (PFI) pioneers and activists from eight regions.
