Bengaluru, Oct 1 (IANS) A institution of Kannada activists led with the aid of sandalwood actor Zaid Khan on Saturday offered a memorandum to Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai demanding making a song of the state anthem in theatres and multiplexes across the country.

Zaid Khan, the son of Congress MLA from Chamrajpet B.Z. Zameer Ahmed Khan, in his memorandum has entreated the authorities to make the state anthem mandatory alongside the country wide anthem.

“We need to recite the national anthem and country anthem with satisfaction even as making a song. We need to inculcate the habit of reciting the kingdom anthem for the existing and destiny generations to return,” he said.

Zaid appealed to the Chief Minister Bommai to make certain recitation of the state anthem in future in all theatres alongside the country wide anthem. The chief minister has confident Zaid Khan to maintain dialogue with sandalwood fraternity and do the considered necessary.

While imparting memorandum, representatives of various Kannada organizations and individuals of Dalit organisations have been present with Khan.
