Yogi govt invites Lata Mangeshkar’s family for inauguration of Lata Chowk


Ayodhya, Sep 25 (IANS) The Yogi Adityanath-drove Uttar Pradesh government has welcomed the group of late artist Lata Mangeshkar for the debut service of Lata Mangeshkar Smriti Chowk in Ayodhya’s Naya Ghat on September 28.

As a unique delegate of Uttar Pradesh Boss Clergyman Yogi Adityanath, Ayodhya Improvement Authority Secretary Satyendra Singh served the encouragement to Lata’s sister Usha Mangeshkar and her other relatives in Mumbai on Saturday.


A goliath icon of a ‘Veena’, which is 40-feet-in length, 12 meter high and weighs 14 ton, will be introduced by State leader Narendra Modi essentially on September 28 on the event of the vocalist’s 93rd birth commemoration, in the actual presence of Adityanath.

Naya Ghat, the region arranged on the banks of the Saryu waterway, will be a significant fascination for travelers after its renaming as Lata Mangeshkar Smriti Chowk and establishment of Veena with a financial plan of Rs 7.9 crore.

Created by conspicuous stone carver and Padmashri awardee Slam Sutar, the icon, cut out of a monster rock, has inscriptions of goddess Sarasvati on it.
