5 feared dead as military chopper crashes in Arunachal

Itanagar, Oct 21 (IANS) Somewhere around five Armed force men, including the pilot and co-pilot, were dreaded dead after a High level Light Battle helicopter worked by the Indian Armed force crashed in the Upper Siang area of Arunachal Pradesh on Friday.

Official sources said that three bodies have been recuperated up to this point, while search is on to find the excess missing Armed force men.

“There were five individuals ready. There is next to no opportunity of endurance of the missing soldiers,” a senior locale official told IANS over telephone from region central command Yingkiong.

The accident occurred in Migging town, around 25 km from the area base camp. The helicopter was on an ordinary foray, the authority said.

Since the accident site isn’t associated by street, more subtleties are as yet anticipated.

Upper Siang Director of Police, Jummar Basar, said the accident site is a rocky locale, and it would require investment to finish the hunt activity.

This was the second occurrence of Armed force chopper mishap in the express this month. On October 5, one pilot was killed after a Cheetah helicopter crashed during a standard foray in the forward region close to Tawang.
