Aerosmith has been compelled to defer two Las Vegas residency shows as frontman Steven Tyler recuperates from an undisclosed disease.
The band dropped a subsequent show in its Deuces Are Wild residency at the Dolby Live Performance center at Park MGM set for Monday night, saying that the “Fantasy On” vocalist, 74, required extra rest. “On the exhortation of my PCP, I’m getting some margin to rest,” Tyler said in an explanation.
“There is no place we’d prefer be than in front of an audience encompassed by the best fans on the planet.”
The band closed its proclamation, which was shared to web-based entertainment, with a conciliatory sentiment to fans.
The update came days after Friday night’s show was likewise canceled, with Aerosmith saying that, “with extraordinary dissatisfaction,” the show was dropped “because of Steven feeling unwell and unfit to perform.” Aerosmith said at the time that the rocker was supposed to recuperate in time for Monday’s show.
