Srinagar, Oct 2 (IANS) A neighborhood policeman become killed and a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) trooper injured on Sunday in an apprehension attack in J&K’s Pulwama district.
Jammu and Kashmir Police stated on its Twitter page, “Militants fired upon joint naka birthday celebration of CRPF & Police at Pinglana, #Pulwama. In this #militant attack, 01 Police employees were given #Killed & 01 CRPF employees were given injured. Reinforcement sent. Area being #cordoned. Further details shall comply with”.
After the terrorist assault, reinforcements have been sent in. The region has been cordoned off and an operation has been began to nab the attackers.
The protection forces have intensified operations against the militants inside the Valley in the course of latest days to thwart any militant plan to disrupt the numerous functions being attended through Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
Shah is scheduled to reach on a three-day go to to J&K on Monday.
