Pink respected the late Olivia Newton-John with a contacting recognition at the 2022 American Music Grants on Sunday.
During the show, the vocalist, 43, performed Newton-John’s hit “Tragically Dedicated to You” from Oil. As she sang in a champagne-shaded outfit with shimmer and quill enumerating, famous pictures of Newton-John — who died of bosom disease at age 73 in August — were displayed on a screen behind her.
In front of the presentation, Pink advised ABC7 that having the opportunity to give proper respect to Newton-John was “an outright honor.”
“I had the joy of being around her multiple times, and she was pretty much as dear as you would envision,” she said. “She was such a symbol, and it’s a truly big distinction to have the option to sing her [music].” In the days paving the way to the show, Pink attempted to stay hush about what fans could expect during the presentation.
“I can’t tell you [what I’m singing], yet I will let you know that my little girl [Willow] lubed in her the previous summer creation, and she is showing me the tune,” Pink prodded during a new appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live. “It’ll be otherworldly.” Somewhere else in the meeting, she talked about how Willow, 11, scrutinizes her Grammy-winning mother with regards to exhibitions.
“Willow’s amazing when I fail to remember the words to my own melodies. I made a bet with her once,” reviewed Pink.
“She was like, ‘That is not the right words.’ I’m like, ‘I composed it.’ She’s like, ‘That is not the words.’ And we returned, she won. It’s intense.”
Pink’s accolade for Newton-John was her second presentation of the evening. Prior at night, she sang her new single “At no point ever Going to Not Move In the future” — from her impending collection TRUSTFALL — interestingly live. On honorary pathway, she was joined by her better half of 16 years Carey Hart, 47, as well as Willow and their child Jameson, 5.

Notwithstanding Pink’s presentation, Stevie Miracle is supposed to join Charlie Puth and Ari Lennox for a mixture of Lionel Richie’s hit melodies to pay tribute to the previous Commodores performer winning the AMAs Symbol Grant. Keep going week, on Great Morning America, Pink reported that TRUSTFALL will drop in February.
The collection marks the performer’s 10th studio exertion and first since 2019’s Damages 2B Human.
Recently, Pink appeared “At absolutely no point ever Going to Not Move In the future” and in its video, she channels a rollerskating, supermarket shopping, carefree change self image.
“My collection is a piece of me, and I believe that I am an illustration of how you can live really and courageously, in manners,” she said on GMA.
“Furthermore, assuming you take a gander at my show … I’m a visiting craftsman, that is my specialty. We’re a voyaging city, we’re different, comprehensive, we are a model of what can work.”
She proceeded, “We petition various divine beings, we have different skin tones, we trust in a wide range of various things — and so on, go down the rundown of contrasts.
We love one another, we dissent, we stay together and we show each other our various societies.”
Pink proceeded to say that her new collection was composed during the Coronavirus pandemic, as she thought about her own spot on the planet.
“I took time,” she said about making the collection. “I had time, and I had a ton of truly crushing things occur. My child and I became truly ill with Coronavirus.
That kind of refined down for me the main thing. Furthermore, it takes an emergency to do that.” The 2022 AMAs are circulating live Sunday night from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
